Tucker Leavitt
● Coach Tucker has been competing in wrestling for a majority of his life. Thanks to his father, who coached the Blackfoot Wrestling Club for many years, Coach Tucker was successful from an early age all the way through high school. He won multiple state titles in all 3 styles throughout his childhood as well as many triple crown honors for winning all 3 styles in state or regional competition. He wrestled for Blackfoot HS and Highland HS starting as a Freshman at 145 lbs to 182 lbs as a senior. He was a 4x district champion, 4x state qualifier, 3x State champion and placed 3rd his freshman year. He was undefeated his junior and senior year in high school. On top of these achievements, he is a 4x HS All-American placing 3rd as a freshman at high school nationals and 2nd as a junior as well as 2nd at USA Wrestling Nationals in Iowa. He was the only Junior in his weight class to place at Flonationals placing 5th and was the #11 ranked wrestler in his weight class his senior year. Coach Tucker also competed for Team Kong his senior year and won the high school national duals, finally making him a national champion.
● On top of athletic achievements coach Tucker was recognized as the Dave Shultz High School Excellence Award winner for the state of Idaho his senior year, honoring not only athletic success but academic as well. Tucker chose to pursue his wrestling career in college and wrestled at West Virginia University under the Olympic silver medalist and world champion, Samuel Henson. After sustaining an injury to his wrist resulting in surgeries, coach Tucker chose to hang up his wrestling shoes in pursuit of another passion.
● Coach Tucker moved back to Idaho in the Boise area where he co-owned and operated a pest control and sales company. After 5 successful years in that company, Coach Tucker decided he wanted to pursue growth. Coach Tucker realized all the positive influences and sacrifices made by his former coaches and is excited to do the same for future generations.
● Coach Tucker is happily married and him and his wife have a 2-year-old son. They moved back to Pocatello while Coach Tucker finishes his degree and to be closer to family.
